George joined Lesaka in 2023 and is the head of the Consumer Division. He has extensive unsecured and retail banking experience having spent 24 years at African Bank. During this time he was exposed to a broad range of functions within African Bank and formed part of the team that established and managed the biggest unsecured lender in South Africa in 2012.
In 2017 he lead the team at African Bank in designing and implementing an Omnichannel solution with inter-operable capabilities across all the sales and service channels. These include the retail branches, call centres, Web, Mobile App and USSD. He was appointed to as Group Operating Officer of African Bank in 2019. He is a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants.
