Our consumer division is focused on providing banking, lending and insurance solutions to lower income, underserved customer segments, while our merchant business delivers solutions across the formal and informal market, including micro businesses all the way to large enterprises.
We combine our digital advantage with a widespread point-of-presence (across branches, ATMs and through long-standing retail partnerships) to bring meaningful solutions to our customers and merchants alike. This opens access to financial services that are suited to their real needs and circumstances, and that bring financial solutions directly to their communities, putting them at their fingertips.
Lesaka is a licensed National Credit Provider, which enables us to provide credit. We hold a Long-Term Insurance License, enabling our funeral policies through Smartlife. Our Mutual Banking License through Grindrod Bank enables us to act as a Payment Clearing House, recycle cash, provide ATM acquiring services, take deposits and provide credit. Principal Member Approval or ISO relationships with a Principal Member enable us to issue accounts and acquire merchants directly.
